I don't see what this article has to do with home-schooling vs. sending your child to public schools.
Given the choice, I'd argue in favor of public schools. Kindergarten classrooms are the perfect environment to encourage independent, imaginative play that is unguided by adults - that's how kids learn, and kindergarten teachers are well aware. The variety of backgrounds that other children bring into the classroom foster so many new opportunities for development. I never could have exposed my children to even a fraction of these situations, no matter how much effort I put into expanding their horizons, had they been home-schooled!
